The Beacon Tap has proudly stood as Des Plaines’ premier family-friendly, sports-themed gastropub since 1955, serving communities like Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Norridge, and beyond. Housed in a century-old building, originally a 1910 grocery store later transformed into the “Beacon Tap Room” in 1926, the venue carries rich local history and a welcoming, time-tested charm. Today, we offer a full scratch of classics and comfort from burgers and pizza to live music, bar games, and cold craft beers perfect for every mood, crowd, and celebration
